AFRICASH: TOP 10 RICHEST PEOPLE IN AFRICA

Last week, Isabel Dos Santos, from Angola, became Africa's first-ever female billionaire. I became interested to see if Africa had any other rich people living there, after all, money isn't something that only exists in America.

1. Aliko Dangote- 55 years-old, a resident of Lagos, Nigeria.. Net worth: $12 billion. He owns Africa's largest cement manufacturer, Dangote Cement.

2. Nicky Oppenheimer- 67 years-old, resident of Johannesburg, South Africa. Net worth: $6.4 billion. Nicky made his fortune from selling 40% of his families stake in De Beers, one of the world's largest diamond producers.

3. Johann Rupert- 62 years-old, a resident of Cape Town, South Africa. Net worth: $5.7 billion, which he gained from the sale of his luxury goods company Richemont.

4. Nassef Sawiris- 52 years-old, from Cairo. Net worth: $5.5 billion . Nassef runs Orsacom Construction Industries, which is one of Egypt's most valuable publicly-traded companies.

5. Mike Adenuga- 59 years-old, from Lagos, Nigeria. Net worth: $4.6 billion. Found his fortune in oil and mobile services.

6. Christoffel Wiese- 71 years-old, native of  South Africa. Net worth: $3.7 billion. Christoffel owns shares in Shoprite, one of the biggest retail chains in Africa. He was once stopped in London for having $1.1 million in his luggage, which according to Wiese is "peanuts" to him.

7. Othman Benjelloun- 80 years-old, from Casablanca, Morocco. Net worth: $2.75 billion dollars. He inherited is father's company and has gone on to do quite well for himself.

8. Patrice Motsepe- 51 years-old, from South Africa. Net Worth: $2.65 billion.  He is the first and only South African billionaire. Patrice started off as a lawyer but soon left the profession and started his own company, African Rainbow Minerals.

9. Naguib Sawiris- 58 years-old,  from Cairo. Net worth: $2.5 billion.  He is actually the brother of our number 4 spot,  Nassef. Naguib made his fortune after he sold all his shares in the giant Russian telecom, Vimpelcom.

10. Mohamed Mansour- 65 years-old, native of Egypt. Net worth: $2.2 billion. He makes most of his money from dealerships. He and his two brothers own a holding company called Mansour Group

There you have it, 10 people that are so rich that after you 're done reading this post, they've probably made another billion dollars... I'm gonna go look at my paycheck and cry now.
