So, when I first learned of an elementary school in Nigeria named Pinky & the Brain, I thought it was some kind of joke. However, after getting over my initial shock, anger and overall dismay, I took a closer look at Pinky & the Brain Primary School and discovered why this may possibly be the school of the future.
1) Their mission statement and motto is quite inspiring:
To make learning interesting, to build good moral values that will develop positive character and to have high expectations that prepare pupils for life. The motto of the school is TOMORROW BEGINS TODAY!
2) The school's anthem gives props to both God & Pinky and the Brain in an endearing way:
We are the children of Pinky and the Brain,
Children growing in wisdom, age, and grace
We lift out voices to thank God; the giver of life.
Shout it out, far and wide
Pinky and the Brain, first among equal,
Pinky and the Brain, the flag bearer for others to follow
3) The school places an importance on a child's academic, physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
Now, who else besides me thinks these students will be more than equipped to eventually take over the world!!!!
